ABGT was originally a financial/stockpicking forum on Raging Bull. As RB began to deteriorate, Bob orchestrated a 'clone' of the environment so we could be free of the arbitrary and capricious management policies and less-than-reliable software. The original posts here are gone. Bob purged the entire forum of the old content for technical reasons.

Atomic Bob's participation declined because so many alternatives emerged...in particular 'social media'. Personally, I 'retired' DueDillinger because posting became an addiction and wasn't fun anymore. I have 'read-only' accounts at Farcebook and X (Twatter), and have (wasted) spent some time on the chans and Reddit during the Trump years and the Qanon psyop.

I'm still an infomaniac (please enunciate that carefully ;-)), and follow dozens of stacks and sites from across the spectrum of ideas. But I don't think I'll be returning as a regular here, mostly because of its addictive nature, and I have a big garden to weed.

Second - just so there's no misunderstanding - the leftists are welcome on this board. They've walled themselves off from the big, scary world by choice, prohibiting the less extreme majority from using their forums.

Third, I had no idea AB was twenty years old! I guess it makes sense, but I wasn't here from Day One so I was unaware. Thanks for the heads up - and THANK YOU, BOB. I have no idea why practically everyone left -- A lack of interest? A preference for Reddit? It's a mystery to me since what initially attracted me to RagingBull continues to exist on this quieter site. We aren't numerous, but at least the folks who use this board are standup people. (I honestly don't think clo would say the same about all of her board's members.)
