ABGT was originally a financial/stockpicking forum on Raging Bull. As RB began to deteriorate, Bob orchestrated a 'clone' of the environment so we could be free of the arbitrary and capricious management policies and less-than-reliable software. The original posts here are gone. Bob purged the entire forum of the old content for technical reasons.
Atomic Bob's participation declined because so many alternatives emerged...in particular 'social media'. Personally, I 'retired' DueDillinger because posting became an addiction and wasn't fun anymore. I have 'read-only' accounts at Farcebook and X (Twatter), and have (wasted) spent some time on the chans and Reddit during the Trump years and the Qanon psyop.
I'm still an infomaniac (please enunciate that carefully ;-)), and follow dozens of stacks and sites from across the spectrum of ideas. But I don't think I'll be returning as a regular here, mostly because of its addictive nature, and I have a big garden to weed.
