True that. My original thought was that the dividend increases would give me a hedge against inflation. Not nearly as good a hedge under 'bidenomics' though.

On the plus side, I have a nice little chunk of McCormick - who has averaged a 9% annual dividend increase for many years now. (For the record I started buying MKC back in 2001. It's worth about three times what I paid for it. The current dividend yield is about 1.7% . . . and my 'yield on dollars invested in it' is about 5.7%. I bought it in a 'Direct Stock Purchase Plan'.)

I saw corn selling for a buck an ear at the farmer's market Saturday. Laughed and said I wasn't gonna buy any pirate corn.
