Well, my youngest baby girl came home with her family and I cannot believe how much the boys have grown.. Wow. The oldest is just going into 7th grade this school year and he is 5 foot 7 inches tall already and a very excellent basketball player. A great shooting touch and plays good defense as well. He will be starting on the junior high boys team this season..
His little brother is a bundle of joy and a soccer player who is friends with the pro soccer player goalie in Virginia Beach.. The goalie comes to watch him play and has become a wonderful friend of the family. The interesting take is that the goalie lived in my daughter's house before my daughter purchased it. He was a much younger person at that time but he came back to see his childhood home and that is how they all met..
Pretty neaat when a pro player becomes best buddies with a little boy who is learning the game of soccer. He apparently is pretty good because all the coaches down there want him to come and play for their teams..
My baby girl is as pretty as ever and such a joy to be around. She is the lawyer in the family and a top 50 lawyer in the state of Virginia rankings.
My older daughter who is the advanced sciences teacher in the high school has taken on a new role this year as well.
She has been asked to teach all the college level classes for college credits to those students this school year because the teacher who did it is no longer with the school. She is qualified to do this but I know she loved teaching her advanced classes in anatomy, biology, and forensic science.
Hopefully the district hires another teacher for next year to teach these classes she has been asked suddenly to do so she can go back to doing what she loves.
So my girls are doing well in their careers and still love their dear old dad. It's a great feeling to see them succeed and know they will be alright in this world without me when I am gone. In this regard, GOD answered my prayers for them before they were ever born. They both can do well and be independent and financially strong and they both are extremely intelligent.
I am a very happy father indeed.
The kids are down at the Stadium watching the Reds get hammered by Washington again but there is an excellent concert following the game they wanted to hear also.. Sow e will see them later this evening!
