One can be pro life when it comes to the unborn babies. One can never be pro-life only when it comes to criminal punishment. Even the scriptures demonstrate there can be fatal consequences and punishments for crimes and sins.

God believes in capital punishment and the BOOK is full of examples. So, I don't worry at all about believing in capital punishment. God did and that was good enough for me..

It might have been different if we had regular executions. Corruption is more acceptable when the perps know that even if they go to jail, it will likely be a short sentence. And if it isn't, a future, more accommodating administration will issue a pardon. Executions are a bit more final.

I really think we need quick (a year and a day, to provide time for an appeal) and PUBLIC executions.

But sealing the condemned in a cave would be better still. That way the more sensitive, caring souls (like moi) could still hold pro life positions without being hypocrites.
