It's true. I didn't break down Russia's GDP to see that manufacturing and other sectors are suffering while energy is thriving. All I noted was that Russia's economy is doing just fine, not struggling under world sanctions as you intimated.

In related news, how's U.S. manufacturing doing these days?

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

Hey De,
I don't think you looked any further than that graph . . .

http://tradingeconomics.com/russia/gdp

>>>
The GDP value of Russia represents 0.96 percent of the world economy.
>>>

GDP from Manufacturing 3917.90 4871.00 (Down)
GDP from Construction 973.10 2603.90 (Down)
GDP from Agriculture 693.80 1626.50 (Down)

The only thing that went up :
GDP from Utilities 874.30 842.10

By the way, if Russia's 'output from agriculture' is down by over 50% . . . Does this mean they might have a problem feeding themselves this winter?

Zim.
