I dunno Boss.
Because every 'precious metal', every commodity . . . seems to have its 'price fluctuations'. Most based in supply and demand, some by deliberate manipulations.

if gold backed currencies are not reliable due to price or valuation of Gold fluctuations, then what is a STABLE, non-changing finite object or thing of wealth that would be used to back up the stated value on paper currency?
