BREAKING: Bill Richardson, former U.N. ambassador and New Mexico governor, dies at 75
Former U.N. ambassador and New Mexico governor Bill Richardson died at the age of 75, the Richardson Center for Global Engagement said in a statement Saturday.
Over the past three decades, Richardson traveled the world negotiating and securing the release of American prisoners and hostages in Bangladesh, North Korea, Sudan, Colombia and Iraq. Last month he was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of his work in saving Americans, most recently WNBA player Brittney Griner.
