70,000 stuck at Burning Man as attendees struggle to escape
Around 70,000 Burning Man attendees remain stuck in the desert following two days of heavy rainfall, and local authorities said Saturday they were investigating a death at the festival.
One festival attendee told NBC News he was scheduled to leave Burning Man Friday, but a trip that was supposed to take a few hours on a bus turned into a 20-hour escape. After spending the night on the bus, he and six others decided to tie trash bags around their feet and walk to town.
