Is the last name of this obviously mentally impaired and hyper partisan dipshi* a recognition of the large KNOT on his head which apparently has caused extreme memory loss of any historical facts or is this just yet another of the man blathering morons who just support any and all extreme radical ideas created by America hating dimwitcrats?

If I had a last name like that and was that stupid I would keep my mouth shut so the rest of the world did not know how dumb I really I was....

This is the continuing saga of Philip Bump's (Washington Post National Columnist) walk of self-inflicted shame that I last posted about on September 2nd (see below - Post #45489). Good grief ... this guy truly is a ridiculous moron.

Philip Bump: 14 presidents called out Donald Trump's threat to democracy today

http://twitchy.com/brettt/2023/09/07/philip-bump-14-presidents-called-out-donald-trumps-threat-to-democracy-today-n2386956

I don't blame you if you are somewhat confused by the headline, but YES, you read it correctly - Philip Bump has publicly stated that "14 presidents have indirectly called out Donald Trump as a threat to democracy today," that "13 of them signed a letter" to that effect, and that "the current one (i.e., Brandon) has released an ad." And YES, when Bump refers to "14 presidents," he means "U.S. Presidents." Yes, yes ... I know ... there are NOT 14 U.S. presidents alive, today ... and apparently EVERYONE is very aware of that fact, except for one Philip Bump. Yep ... now you understand. Enter the orderlies in white coats ...

Philip Bump has so embarrassed himself over the Biden administration that we'll go ahead and put his name in the headline and not just "Washington Post national columnist." That happens when journalists get so bad that you recognize them by name. The last we saw him was in retreat from a podcast host asking about the mounting pile of evidence against Joe Biden.

Bump has limited replies to his post Thursday, which points to his piece about how 14 presidents have "indirectly" called out Donald Trump's threat to democracy. Which particular threat to democracy is this one? The one where he's allowed to run again with his name on the ballot?

So you get 14 presidents if you add Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and as for getting 13 former presidents to sign a letter means having their foundations "sign"; e.g., Woodrow Wilson "signed" the letter.

Philip Bump (@pbump) ~ Fourteen presidents indirectly called out Trump's threat to democracy today. Thirteen former presidents signed a letter. The current one released an ad.

Bump writes:

But the argument is not simply cynical. As the rhetoric of his 2008 opponents makes clear, a real threat to democracy exists. Trump’s power over the right and his rhetoric about the left combine to foster both sincere and broadly unjustified anger at the system — and to make it valuable to feign that anger to appeal to his supporters.

There was also another presidential expression of support for American democracy Thursday. The foundations associated with more than a dozen previous presidents, from Herbert Hoover to Obama, signed a joint letter calling for the reinforcement of “our most basic democratic principles.”

Ah ha ... "the foundations associated with more than a dozen previous presidents {have} signed a joint letter calling for the reinforcement of 'our most basic democratic principles.'" But, Bump makes the unequivocal statement that 14 presidents signed off on this very general statement, so he believes that whoever runs a deceased president's foundation is somehow communicating with that dead president and relaying his thoughts. Bump is nuttier than a Payday candy bar.

And more than 50 former intelligence officials signed a letter saying Hunter Biden's laptop was Russian disinformation. So?

Hooch (@CompanyHooch) ~ I will bet everything I own that 13 presidents didn’t sign a letter.

You win that bet.

alexandriabrown (@alexthechick) ~ In case you were wondering, no, there are not 13 former Presidents still living. Here is the part of the article about the letter. I was unaware these foundations were able to commune with the dead.

Hmmm ... those are some VERY general statements and could easily be repudiations of the disarray among Americans being caused by Joe Biden and his bootlickers in the Democrat Party. The only mention of Trump is that he was not a signatory to the letter. Well, in truth, very few of the listed former presidents actually signed, either ... and one has to wonder if Trump was even given the opportunity to sign the letter, in the first place.

Whatever (@MIFrenchieMom) ~ Did they sign via Ouija Board?

Meanwhile, back at the presidential foundations ...

Lili von Shtupp (@LvS_Redux) ~ The one where WaPo cites dead presidents signing an Orange Man Bad letter.

If they can let this childish, delusional dreck pass into their paper, it makes you wonder what the editors at The WaPo do all day, eh?

Ben (@burnt_tweet) ~ “Thirteen former presidents signed a letter ... I dunno how, I dunno how, I’m leaving, I’ve answered the question already.”

Philip Bump desperately tries to fade away ...

"Among the former presidents who was not represented among the letter’s signatories was Donald Trump," Bump concludes. Gee, do you think they invited him to sign?

Ahmed Al Asliken (@assliken) ~ Hi Philip,

Why wont the WH release the emails where Biden was using a pseudonym?

Now, there is a REAL question for you, Philip!
