At about 7:30pm, about 30 minutes after sunset, they launched a Firefly Alpha rocket from Vandenberg AFB and the smoke trail was sunlit on a very dark but clear sky. It was amazing looking. If I had known that this was going to happen, I'd been prepared with my camera but we were just standing out in front of our house talking to some people when we saw the smoke trail. I didn't have time to run in and get my camera. Maybe next time...
