only have part time representatives with ZERO PAY and ZERO pensions

I have always said that the congressperson’s pay should be based on the average pay in their district/state. I have suggested 2X this average because they have to maintain two residences and travel more than average, but people have said this is too high. So, I could agree to 1.5X.

And, it is obvious that government workers shouldn’t be (nearly) the only ones who get pensions.

Micro > start over again and only have part time representatives with ZERO PAY and ZERO pensions and see who wants to really serve the country

The correct answer is that the 'THIEVES' would wind up 'running the country'.

As in the vast majority of the folks who would (or could) run for election would be the sort of people who would find a way to line their pockets with taxpayers moneys.

I know, we have more than a few in there already . . . But with 'No Pay' nobody who might be willing to try to 'do the right thing' will be able to afford to do so.
