Ribit > (Golden BB). There is a lot that I don't know about military toys, but this seems to be a classic case of a weapon too expensive to use.


Which is why that old A-10 'Wart-Frog' is pretty much my second favorite airplane. Low and slow . . . But capable of turning a building full of taliban into a pile of rubble in just a few seconds.

(Also loved by the Infantry for its close in air support abilities.)

(And let us not forget what the A10's did to saddam husseins armored columns.)

Tank Busters are US is another good nickname for them.

...they advise that the f35 was built primarily for close air support. Somehow I can't see flying a 100 mill airplane close enough to the ground that it could be shot down by a grunt with a rifle (Golden BB). There is a lot that I don't know about military toys, but this seems to be a classic case of a weapon too expensive to use.
