Just a thought that goes thru my head occasionally and likely every parent, well, a lot of them maybe.
I sleep better at night knowing my kids are financially secure and can take care of themselves even if their husbands turn out to worthless. (not that it would happen) but being able to be financially independent of yer spouse especially iffen ya is a female means ya don't have to be crapped on by an idiot and can do just fine without him..
Both of my daughters out earn their spouses by a lot.
Not that the son in laws are dumb or deadbeats because the one in Virginia Beach is a lot like Joey. Scary smart. But he's not a highly rated attorney. Virginia ranks their lawyers and the top 50 is where ya want to be. My daughter has been there the whole time she ha practiced law there. Hard to believe my cheerleader daughter was valedictorian of both her high school and
runner up at her University. Her older sister is only a few hours shy of completing her PHD in science.
I can die in peace knowing they will be alright when I am gone.
Isn;t how we view tings as people interesting as to what things are more important to each individual? It's what makes us different and interesting at the same time
