During President Biden's brief stop at a UAW picket line near Detroit yesterday (before jetting off to California for fundraisers with billionaires), some workers expressed their concerns about this administration's determination to force everybody into EVs:

Autoworkers aren’t just turned off by electric vehicles because they might kill their jobs. They also don’t want to purchase them, and aren’t buying into either party’s approach to electrification — a view that signals political risks for both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, the Republican presidential front-runner.

In interviews across the country Monday, many striking members of the United Auto Workers said they would likely shun EVs because of charging worries and the vehicles’ high prices.

What's Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg's response to those concerns?

Hey, it's going to happen "with or without us":

"These cars are going electric with or without us."

How exactly would cars "go electric" without us?

It sounds like Buttigieg wants everybody to believe that cars are going to "go electric" all on their own in the same way Dems keep trying to make it sound like guns just go off and kill people all on their own.

James Pickett (@jamesrpickett) ~ Then why not just let the free market take care of it Pete? Why do you have to put your thumb on the scale?

Because Mayor Pete knows full well that no such thing has a chance in hell of happening in the near future unless the Democrats force it down the American public's throat. And the reasoning behind it all is simply to satisfy the absurd fetish for absolute control that is so desperately embraced in the fascist Democrat cult.

GOP Sen. John Kennedy once asked somebody in this administration, "if EVs are so popular, how come the government has to pay people to drive them?" That question needs to be asked repeatedly.

Other Side Asset Management (@OtherSide_AM) ~ No ... that’s not how capitalism works.

Remove government subsidies and see what sells, dollar for dollar, all things being equal?!

ESG is neither clean nor affordable (see: mines being drilled for resources all over the globe).

OH NO ... THAT would remove the iron-fisted control of Democrats from the equation! They cannot abide free will in the fascist religion of the Democrat Party.

"Remove government subsidies" is the exact opposite of the goal of this administration.

They'd like everybody to believe electricity is a magical and totally cleanly generated power source.

Back in the summer of 2022, the General Motors Spokeswoman, Kristin Zimmerman, was demonstrating the charging of the Chevy Volt in Lansing, Michigan when a reporter asked, "What's charging the batteries, right now ... what's the source of the electricity?" And Zimmerman hilariously responds with, "Well, it's coming from here ... from the building."

REALLY? Well, no sh!t, Sherlock!

The look on her face in the video when she realizes she has just been busted is absolutely precious! She quickly tries to deflect and says, "Lansing feeds power to the building." BWHA HA HA HA HA HA!!! Shortly thereafter, J. Peter Lark of the Lansing Board of Water & Light explained that, "It would be charging off our grid which is about 95% coal." BWHA HA HA HA HA HA - AGAIN!!!

The Democrat propaganda machine in the lamestream media then went into immediate OVERDRIVE to complain that this FACT, as explained by the representative of the Lansing Board of Water & Light, was "misleading" because not all electricity generation across the country was powered 95% by coal, like it is in Lansing, Michigan. But, for all their frothing at the mouth, they still had to acknowledge that, generally, fossil fuels generate 60% of electricity across the country with 20% generated by nuclear and the remaining 20% generated by wind, hydro, and solar.

Also, will a large increase in EV usage strain the electrical grids in this country? Some folks at Stanford University are concerned that it might if those grids are powered mostly by renewable energy ...
