Texas is stunned by Oklahoma. This game is always a fierce rivalry and the Sooners were the underdogs but that doesn't matter in a rivalry game. Texas was beaten by their rival up north in a close one: 34-30
This is what I was concerned with yesterday, the rivalry game and the emotional uplift close talented teams derive from that. Bragging rights for a year...
USC had to go to multiple overtimes to finally win against an average Arizona team.. Methinks they are over rated..
Louisville lays a schlobberknocker on Notre Dame at Louisville yesterday. So much for the over rated Irish by the usual media suspects and cheerleaders. Someone with half a brain please get them out of the top 25 ratings....
The Buckeyes and Bulldogs and Michigan all looked like their rankings suggest.
Ohio State has to play Penn State which is undefeated and a strong team yet and at end of October faces Michigan.
That is a brutal schedule. The Georgia Thugs beat up another team yesterday, the Kentucky Mildcats and demonstrated its athletic and bigger, stronger, Herd they call linemen over their opponent. It wasn't close.
I don;t believe Alabama will be a challenge for them either this year.
I can only wonder how Michigan or Ohio State stack up against such a big physical team. We both have the offenses to go against them but can the LINES hold up against the herd of buffaloes they call linemen?
That is where the advantage lies IMO.. Kirby Smart did a great job making sure that they had great linemen on both sides of the ball because that always is a determining factor in game outcomes.
Congrats to the Bulldawgs and wishes for a Texas rebound.
A fun day of collegiate futzball ...
