I watched that "game". Purdy did a great job of getting the ball to the open receivers as the play was designed to do. I am not quite sure who is around today who was a first round draft pick except Burrow, possibly Lamar Jackson(who I really like as an athlete) but that's all my memory can remember.
It's the system and play calling and design of routes that allow the receivers, if they run them correctly, to possibly get open and give the QB a target to throw to.
Nonetheless, the QB in that system HAS to perform and deliver the ball to the target and Purdy was on fire..
Burrow finally had enough time to throw the ball yesterday and the results of having an offense showed.
Hopefully it continues. Hard to throw to anyone with 300 pound monsters all around ya in your own backfield all the time. Pass blocking on the Bungles has sucked big time so far.
How is Desmond Ridder doing down thar in Atlanta Ribs?
He was great here at my alma mater in Cincinnati and quite an athlete who is similar to Lamar in that he cah really run and throw as well. Another Bearcat product is Travis Kelce. I remember watching him play at Nippert Stadium.
The college schedule starts to get interesting beginning next week..
I have a person due here in one minute so I has to get going. Catch y'all later.
