From Mike Johnson who said “if we didn’t have abortions we wouldn’t have deficits because more people would be paying taxes”, to the latest calls for banning “assault weapons”, everything goes in this country, at anyone time, and by anyone with a mouth on a microphone.
The guy had been institutionalized for “hearing voices” and “wanting to mass murder people, according to his comrades in the reserve, YET NO ONE THOUGHT OF CHECKING HIM REAL GOOD AND TAKING HIS WEAPONS AWAY UNTIL THE VOICES STOPPED SAYING THINGS TO HIM, AND IF NECESSARY FOREVER.
The AR-15, a semiautomatic rifle, just like any 9mm handgun, shoots ONE round for every trigger pull, unlike its military version that keeps shooting at high rate when trigger is pulled. So, it is not an “assault rifle” by definition. In its civilian form it is a sporting and self defense rifle, and only crazies use it to murder, just other crazies mow down people with cars and trucks.
There are two problems that need fixing:
1. Universal background checks, covering gun show loopholes and all that which has been discussed ad nauseam.
2. Red flag laws, that cover everything including “crazies.” But ENFORCED, not forgotten. Give due process all they want, but ENFORCE THEM!
Coincidentally, that motjerfkr DeathSantis last night on CNN would not admit red flag laws have made a significant contribution to lowering gun violence in Florida, since they became law, and said they don’t cover crazies, but would not enhance them nor would he take them out(they don’t work he lied), because his fellow republicans voted them in after Parkland so he wouldn’t have them vote against their own law. GO FIGURE. No wonder this guy will never be anything after he’s gone in a year.
AMERICA: What a fking confused country unable to try steps that could solve problems, always scratching its balls and wondering/arguing about things about gay sex as if straights don’t do much the same: If you’re not gay your woman’s ass is free game, and she can suck your dick at nauseam.
