Re: “What kind of a temp do ya have there in early morning?”
Sorry for the late reply, but the wife and I spent most of the day on the road today, driving far to the east for an auction pickup, then all the way back and far to the west for another. It wasn't until late morning that we realized both had to be done today, so it created a time crunch. It was only 250 miles in total, but on these windy roads 250 miles takes a long time. In an ironic twist, despite the heavy driving, we actually didn't spend much or get anything too exciting... I think a heavy roofing company jacket was the most expensive item. It should be something I'll really appreciate this winter. My wife left it at the other house (the new one) while I unloaded scrap lumber, so I actually don't even know if it fits. I'll check it out on Monday. The lumber was only a buck and it mostly filled the car. Everything else was small... a 2' high metal chicken that my wife loves, three small framed oil drawings, a small fan, a wall-mounted mail holder, a "picker's lot" of home improvement items, a plant stand and some decorative glass.

I bought the picker's lot mostly for the box of contractor's trash bags, but when we arrived, the auction house told us that the owner had taken it because it wasn't supposed to be in the lot. %@#$! They offered us our money back, but the remaining items were still worth $9 to me so we declined. But, wow. What gall the owner had to take something from a lot that had already been sold! IMO, the auction house should have paid the owner $25 for his bags but left MY MERCHANDISE ALONE. I think that's what a reputable company would have done.

To answer your questions: The lowest temp we've seen so far out here is 22°, only a few days ago. Sunday morning will be 39°, but warmer nights usually means that rain is on the way.

No, we have no bigfoots or yetis in New Hampshire, but we do have a ton of abominable politicians who want to be President of you and me. I'm an independent now, so I'm receiving solicitations from both the Republican'ts and Democraps. It'd be nice if Tulsi wanted to reach out and touch me, but no such luck this time.

One final thing to mention: Yesterday, we headed out to pick up three FREE chicken coops. Two were small and got hoisted onto our flatbed intact. The third was pretty big as far as coops go and was a bear to dismantle. I think it took us three hours to break it down without destroying it. Some of the wood was rotted, so I was pretty happy about the scrap lumber we retrieved today. That's another 'hobby' the wife and I will be getting into, hopefully in the late spring: Building chicken coops and raising chickens (by mid summer). The best thing about these coops is that now I know what a coop should contain. I intend to build my own coops at some point... probably bigger ones.
