Re: “I was wondering how your energy level is post op from your procedure with the implant in your heart?”
My energy level is just fine. But...

I saw my cardiologist last month and complained that I'm getting a strange sensation, like a vibration, when I lie down. I discovered that the sensation is caused by having my left arm bent and it stops if I straighten the arm. My theory is that the blood flow into the arm isn't right and maybe the heart is dealing with resistance when pumping blood that direction. The doc had me wear a monitor nonstop for two weeks. Any time I felt this vibration - which was quite often - I pushed a button on the monitor and made a paper record of what I felt.

No luck. The monitor didn't see anything unusual about my heartbeat. But the doctor called me back and said that it did pick up something else... just once for twenty seconds... at a time when I wasn't experiencing anything odd. It's called "ventricular tachycardia" and could be quite serious. So I'm headed back to the hospital next week for another stress test. Hopefully all's well, but at the moment I'm a little concerned.
