I'd call at 10:30... lunch. I'd call at 2:00... lunch. I asked when she'd be back to work and would get vague responses. I came up with reasons why she'd HAVE to be back at her desk at a specific time and she told me that she couldn't because she was doing something for her mother. I began the process of getting rid of her when she quit.

I'm not a fan of telework. It's just too hard to supervise people.
