the BAR is reciprocal in Virginia and Ohio. Iffen ya pass the bar in Virginia you can practice law here in Ohio although she is a CORPORATE business lawyer so she doesn't go into the pit but on a rare occasion.

I get it. I just don't like it.. I guess its best in her mind if her kids do not have hardly any interaction with their grandparents.. Would hate for any conservative values to rub off on them. They will grow up not really knowing their grandparents.. Which is a shame. My wife feels exactly the same way...

We don;t like it but nothing we can say or do about it. It's their choice so we see the grandkids about once every second or third year..

At our funerals they will be asking our daughter who those people are......

Re: “Obviously we are not huge fans of where our daughter and the person she married have decided to roost for really lame reason.. I suspect the real reason is different than the stated one but there is nothing we can say or do about it.”
In all fairness, your daughter's law school was in Virginia. She passed the bar in Virginia. Moving to a different state would require more studying and more tests. I can understand not wanting to go through any more of that, especially midway through one's career.
