CONGRATS on the great news abut your heart condition De!
That is really good news for YOU, your wife, your son, and your friends.

Obviously you are still in pretty good physical shape and the docs prolly could not believe how well you had done..

Whatever you are doing, keep it up! Great news!!!!!

MY cardiologist wants me to do a stress test but wants to put radioactive stuff in me to speed up the heart and will make you really hot on the inside as well.

I don't believe I am going to do that. If my heart quits it is God's will and my time to leave this world. I don;t think that's going to happen but if it does, so be it.

The thing I hate the most about this stuff is that ya can't take anything but tylenol. I need anti inflammatory med but can't take it because of some kind of interference with this other crap I have to take.

I am going to have a real talk with the Cardiologist assistant in December about these meds. Tired of being in chronic pain. And its not my heart..

CONGRATS again on the GREAT report though!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and Miz De and Joey !!

I had my stress-echo (or is it the other way around??) test and passed it with flying colors.

I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

They said up front that they wanted to get my heart to 135 bpm, but if I couldn't handle it, there was a button I could press. So it got to 135 and they asked if I could walk even faster. I said "Sure," and they bumped the speed up. My heart got to 145 bpm. They asked if I was okay and I said I was starting to breathe through my mouth. They pushed it to 155 bpm and asked if I could do any more. I said "Yes," and that "I'm starting to sweat." At 162bpm they shut down the treadmill and quickly had me lie down on the echo table again. The tech said, "Holy smokes! He's already down to 95 bpm!"

I don't know if anything useful came out of the test, but they weren't successful in precipitating a bout of ventricular tachycardia. I asked the cardiologist if it was possible that the heart monitor I'd previously worn was simply mistaken. He shook his head and said, "No, I don't think so."

BTW, we're slated to have 5 - 8 inches of snow tonight. I don't have a snow blower here and I don't know if the guy my builder contacted is going to clear the driveway for us or not. Now THAT is what I consider stressful.

Hey, my heart!!
