Any ideas on how to tell a cardiologist, especially a very young one who apparently has waaaaaaaayyyy to many patients to spend any time with me or any of them, that you don;t like him and are going to change doctors even if it means going to a different Medical group at another local competing hospital that is affiliated with the Cleveland Clinic?

That's about where I am. I lie the Nurse practitioner better than him.. At least she will talk to ya and answer questions.

I really liked my surgeon. He was great.

Here's a scenario to ponder:

The brain trust at cardiology wants me to do a stress test with the nuclear infusion so I can light up a Christmas tree with a black light.

Here is what I cannot seem to get thru these nitwits.

I CANNOT RUN or possibly get my heart rate up high for the very fact that I can barely walk as it is.

So under what circumstance am I ever gonna need to have my heart tested for something I cannot physically do even if I wanted and at my age and condition, am never going to do? My heart is never gonna be stressed like that in real life...

So why should I do this uncomfortable thing?

It's exactly what I am going to ask the NP when I see her in December. Maybe she is unaware I can't physically run and will never get my heart rate up beyond walking on a limited basis..

I'll wait to see what she has to say about that but I am not that interested in being seen with a black light at midnight lighting up in some weird radioactive color..

Re: “...I've had a couple of them and it's a piece of cake. Nowhere near as unpleasant as a colonostopy.”
One of those might be in store for me too. After all, the only thing shown by my test was that they can't walk me into a ventricular tachycardia episode. That doesn't mean I won't have one on my own. Vee-tee can cause a person to have a stroke or it can cause the heart to just quit. My blood thinner makes the former less likely, so that's a plus.

If, one day, I just stop posting, you'll be left to wonder whether I decided to pull a "Kathy" or a "DGpeddler" on you. Ah, but I've got a Missus De here who'll probably clue you in.

For now, I'm just going to have to wait for my cardiologist (not the one who administered the test) to tell me what's up.
