That reminds me of two things I noticed in 'my younger days' . . .
When I was delivering papers early in the morning, wet winter mornings tended to be warmer than dry winter mornings.
And, while I was in the Army in the middle of Alaska I used to pray for snow - because it had to warm up up there to make snow. (Or the cloud cover necessary to make snow warmed things up - take your pick.)
