During an interview with Bloomberg TV on Monday, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas responded to a question on how to handle people who are in the country illegally by stating that there are “12 million people who are here in the United States who have been contributing so fundamentally to our country’s well-being.”
Host Romaine Bostick said that the consequences for arriving at the border irregularly won’t be a deterrent for a lot of people and don’t “address the other sort of elephant in the room, which is dealing with the undocumented immigrants who are already here in the nation. And I know it’s been a political football, as we’re trying to figure out the best way to address that, but I’m going to ask you, what is the best way to address that, from your perspective?”
Mayorkas responded, “The answer is quite clear and quite straightforward, and we’ve been waiting for it for about 30 years. And that is to fix a system that everyone agrees is fundamentally broken. And we need congressional action, both for the lawful pathways, that really need to be more robust in statute, and for the 12 million people who are here in the United States who have been contributing so fundamentally to our country’s well-being. They’re our neighbors, our friends, our fellow congregants. They provide — are frontline workers. We need to do something, and I am hopeful and remain hopeful that Congress will do it. The president, on his first day in office, presented Congress with a proposal.”
Mayorkas is a babbling, drooling imbecile. The system is NOT broken ... we already have laws in place that will adequately address the issue. The real problem is that you Democrats don't want to defend our national borders ... you simply want to allow foreigners to illegally invade our country and ultimately vote against the best interests of American citizens (i.e., vote for a Democrat Party that is increasingly Marxist in its outlook). So, you have done nothing but open up the floodgates and then whine about the immigration problem of your very own making.

Illegal Alien MS-13 Gang Member Stabs Man After Feds Failed to Deport Him

An illegal alien MS-13 gang member has pleaded guilty to stabbing a man in Loudoun County, Virginia, after federal immigration authorities repeatedly failed to deport him.
This month, illegal alien Gustavo Enrique Portillo Aguilar — a member of the violent MS-13 gang — pleaded guilty to stabbing a man as well as pointing a gun at him in May of this year in Loudoun County.
According to police, Portillo Aguilar stabbed the man in the back before knocking him to the ground and stabbing him in his chest and finger. Portillo Aguilar told the man he was going to kill him before leaving the scene to get a handgun.
When Portillo Aguilar returned with the handgun, the man and his friend were able to get into a vehicle and drive away. Still, Portillo Aguilar chased them, pointing the gun at the two while continuing to threaten to kill them.
The stabbing occurred after Portillo Aguilar had previously been arrested in Loudoun County but was never taken into custody by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency and deported from the U.S.
In 2021, for instance, Portillo Aguilar was arrested along with other MS-13 gang members for allegedly trying to attack a man with bats and knives because the man was trying to leave the gang.
Though Portillo Aguilar was charged with abduction, assault, and participation in a gang, the charges were eventually dropped in 2022.
Then, in November 2022, Portillo Aguilar was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm by a person in the country illegally, and driving without a license.
According to an eyewitness, Portillo Aguilar had fired gunshots in the air after another driver fired shots at Portillo Aguilar’s vehicle. Those charges, like the first charges against Portillo Aguilar, were dropped.
For the stabbing attack, Portillo Aguilar faces up to 22 years in prison.
