Another Thailand photo. They've got nightly fireworks outside their condo.

I expect will be the last one for a while. They're flying to Rome tomorrow.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

Re: “What do you think the attraction was to go visit Thailand?”
She and my brother are avid scuba divers. They have condos in Ft. Lauderdale and Thailand. They spend time in Thailand every year. (When Covid hit, they were briefly stranded there.) They also take tons of cruises - at least half the year is spent SOMEWHERE.

I could do that - and so could you, it's not that expensive if you're retired and have some income - but I don't care for it. After a few weeks, vacations stop being fun for me. Another way to look at it is that my entire life is a vacation. Why should I board a ship or plane? I've surrounded myself with beauty and things I love in the place I most want to be.

What I enjoy is projects... and having a home base that improves with each passing year. It's the same for each of you, I hope.
