Texas plans to transport up to 70,000 immigrants to cities like Washington, DC, New York City, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles. This decision may sound like a reckless one, given the issues the previous batch is causing already.
Reckless for who? Democrats are the ones welcoming foreign invaders with open arms, so they can take care of them.
However, it is a necessary measure as border towns in Texas have become overwhelmed by the influx of migrants. Abbott wrote. “Texas will bus migrants to sanctuary cities until Biden secures the border. Our mission provides vital relief to border towns.”
The influx of migrants has become a national crisis. As it stands, between 16.8 and 29 million illegal migrants currently live in the US. And about 3.8 million are entering the country under President Biden’s administration.
Texas Republicans have sent a bill to Governor Abbott to authorize local police to handle immigration enforcement. It will also allow a judge to order immigrants to return to Mexico.
Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said. “SB 4 is the strongest border security bill Texas has ever passed. The illegal crosser can be thrown in jail or ordered by a magistrate to be returned to the border.”
According to Patrick, immigrants who refuse to return to Mexico or those deported who find their way back to Texas will face “even harsher penalties.”
Abbott says the state will send more than 12,500 migrants to Washington DC, 25,000 to New York City, 20,000 to Chicago, 3,200 to Philadelphia, 7,400 to Denver, and over 1,000 to Los Angeles.
You Democrats are the ones who declared yourselves to be "Sanctuary Cities," so guess what ... the migrants are being sent to the designated sanctuaries. Simple as that.
In the past, during a migrant crisis, border towns are the ones who bear the brunt of it. However, things changed recently when the Texas Governor decided to start transporting the migrants to sanctuary cities run by Democrat officials. They have been vocal in their criticism of the governor’s orders, but Abbott persists.
Cities like New York City and Chicago have been rushing to metabolize the migrants since last year. New York City has had 130,000 new migrants since last year, many of whom still receive care on the city’s funds. This is causing homeless shelters to run out of space and forcing the city to open new facilities.
Chicago is the country’s third-largest city. It has seen an influx of more than 18,500 migrants recently, many from Venezuela.
It is now working to build massive winterized camps for the newly arrived migrants, who have had to sleep on the floors of police stations or airports for months. At this time, the city’s spending on the problem will have reached at least $250 million.

Abbott is expected to sign the bill sometime in the future, but the immigrants may be here to stay in the meantime.
