You sure about that?

Impeachment is an essentially political process. The Supreme Court has said that it does not rule on the validity of impeachments or senate proceedings on bills of impeachment.

This means that theoretically, a president can be impeached for any reason if there are enough votes, up to and including someone not liking his eye color? It just depends on what the party leading the impeachment expects about the public perception.

vsz Yes, that is correct. Whether to impeach and remove President is a political decision, not a judicial one, as the proceeding in th case of Trump clearly showed.

You can only impeach a president for 'high crimes and misdemeanors' committed WHILE they were actually holding the office of president. With that in mind, when exactly was that corrupt Ukrainian prosecutor removed from office? Also, you can't impeach someone for the actions and behavior of another individual, even if they're related.
