My favorite day of the year is coming fast.
I hope I can think of something to get for my wife between now and then.
We will get started in the Kitchen starting tomorrow to get ready for the guests on Christmas day and Christmas Dinner.
The Kettle Corn or Carmel Corn depending on how one wants to describe it, will be made by yours truly around mid week. I like mine better than anything I can buy in a store because I can control how much of the Carmel liquid gets mixed with the popped corn and then stirred until itis ALL dripping wet. Then spread onto waxpaper covered sheets and put in refrigerator to harden..
Usually I make about a 5 gallon can's worth..Then there are the BUCKEYES.. Peanut butter with powder sugar mixed with it, rolled into balls and dipped in melted Milk chocolate being held by a toothpick.. Then placed on wax paper lined cookie trays to go into refrigerator for a quick cooldown for the chocolate to get hard.
After this, the Strawberry Supreme Cake with real strawberries in the cake batter with juice. Of course, strawberry frosting as well.
FUDGE. The kind ya find at state fairs, hard and multiple flavors.
I could become diabetic over a Christmas period.. LAstly, the chocolate dipped pretzels in White chocolate AND milk chocolate and sprinkles added.
Then Miz micro makes a few of her custom cheeseballs.
It is a great recipe she follows and has been making this kind for about 40 years now.. Another killer snack..
Hopefully I can sneak some of these things cuz she will tell me I need to refrain and watch what I eat due to the heart. We'll see how that goes..
