Re: “I am not a fan of Nike shoes and never have been.”When I was young and playing a lot of tennis, I bought and went through a pair of Nikes every month - March through November. They were $15 a pair at the time. They were great shoes, though they did nothing to protect my ankles. I used to get hurt once or twice per year.

When I was older and living in Virginia, I found a pair of used Nike basketball shoes (high tops) at a West Virginia flea market. They were in good shape, so I bought them for ten bucks. Aside from work, those were my main shoes for YEARS. I wasn't nearly as active by then, but their durability was nothing less than amazing. It's fair to say that I've never had another pair of shoes that lasted nearly that long.

Nah.

I am not a fan of Nike shoes and never have been.

I prefer brands like Brooks and Hoka for comfort and fit..

Nike is high priced so-so footwear. Hoka is the most comfortable athletic shoe I have ever owned. Brooks is a close second.

Nike is not even on the radar blip.. But they do a good job of luring the kiddies into believing they just can't do without them and to be hip and cool, you gotta have Nike on yer feet.

They deserve to sink in sales. They are and have been a FAD for a long time.

My Aesics were better than Nike. But the Brooks and Hoka's are better than the Aesics by far..

So its how a shoe fits and feels after hours of wearing that counts. NOt the hype..
