That's a good observation De.
All of those songs I heard pastors say were meant to keep people's eyes off of Christ. They were obviously in line with what the enemy of Christ does best, DISTRACT people from hearing about HIM and His Lordship as Son of God.
It worked well didn't it? None of that garbage has been allowed in my home since we were married. We only listen to Christian radio stations who lift up and exalt the Savior and play Christmas music that does the same thing.
Godly music just does some uplifitng of the Spirit inside. Makes me feel better knowing that one day at my appointed time I will be in HIS presence face to face..
