Re: “It has been a Blessed and wonderful day in our household today. I hope that everyone else has had a wonderful day as well.”
Let's call this "The Christmas that wasn't." We didn't put out the Christmas decorations. We DID unpack our Charlie Brown 18-inch tree, but we left the 5' artificial tree in its box and didn't buy a real one. I put one present under our tiny tree and that was the only present it received.

I did get a nice jacket from my mother-in-law, and a few other gifts from friends and family. My wife gave me a beautiful red "amberina" dish containing cadmium and gold. Like uranium glass, amberina fluoresces under a black light - but it glows RED. I gave her a new set of headphones since she needed them.

So, it was a very, very simple day. I did some reading about cancer and took a nap.

We skipped making a Christmas dinner this year. In fact, it's a little after 9 p.m. and I'm a bit hungry so I may nuke a potato and dig some leftovers out of the 'fridge.

BUT, my wife tested negative for Covid-19 today! If I go another two days without getting sick, it means that I dodged that bullet, or the ivermectin I've been taking turned Covid-19 into such a wimp that I didn't even notice that I had it.

It was sunny and 41° here today. There's no snow, but there are many tire ruts out back where water has pooled. They're full of ice. I read that there was a blizzard in Nebraska yesterday but that the nation is otherwise snow-free. Wild.

Our plan now is to make ourselves a really nice meal in a week. Assuming that the house is still Covid-free, and we're feeling more festive, that is. That'll be New Years Day.

In future years, I'm sure we'll have more of the Christmas spirit than we did this year. But with no visitors, Covid-19, lots of construction hassles still going on, and my recent medical issues, we just never felt it.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

My eldest daughter and her family just left about 30 minutes ago to go take things home and get ready to go see their other Grandma. My son in law's father passed about ten years ago from cancer..
She is a very nice person and we get along great although she is about ten years older than us.. We are happy to share the kids and grandkids with her and have invited to come to our house on Holidays and enjoy the family and some of my world famous grilling or Miz micro's magical touch in the kitchen..

I Have thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful Day and have some things to try on yet.. Maybe tomorrow.

The most interesting present my baby daughter in Virginia got for me was a pair of socks with a picture of my dog and his name all over the socks.. It's really cute.

She also got US a nice throw blanket with all the family names on it in large white embroidered letters.. Its really nice.

My beautiful granddaughter bought me a Cedarville University Sweatshirt with their team logo on it so I can wear that when I go to her women's softball games where she is on a large athletic scholarship to play there as their Catcher. She was the starter as a Freshman and when she needed a break she was on third base.. She was one of the top five catchers in Ohio Big School teams and was heavily recruited. She wanted to go to this Christian University and her Aunt (wife's sister) worked there for 30 plus years and lives there as well. So she is always there to help my granddaughter, (her niece), whenever she needs it..
My grandson is really maturing into a fine young man and is quiet and soft spoken. He's gentle and mild mannered.

It's hard to believe he is a middle linebacker..

So our day with family has about wrapped up and now we're just texting and sending photos by cell phone to each other.. My oldest and her family will be back to play games and help eat all the feast that is left over from today..

I am so blessed to have such intelligent daughters.
My oldest let us us know today that she is now an Adjunct professor of Biological science for the University of Cincinnati.. I have TWO Doctorate Degreed daughters..

I am a slacker... compared to them.. lol!!!!!!

This is the answer from God who granted my prayer requests when my daughters were still in their mother's womb that they would have intelligence greater than mine and would grow up and be independent and Healthy..
EAch of them Out Earn their husbands and are blessedwith intelligence.. They each are kind and loving as well.

So I have wonderful daughters, wife, and grand sons and daughter. ALL are answers to prayers..

It has been a Blessed and wonderful day in our household today. I hope that everyone else has had a wonderful day as well.

Merry Christmas Everyone!
