Hi De!

I get it.. Last year I was not much into a Christmas mode I normally would be..

On a funnier note,

This may sound a little baffling to some, but I am not a fan of wearing blue jeans nor have I ever been. I don't have anything against them but it was never "ME".
I wear casual slacks when not going to see clients.

SO, on Christmas Day my oldest daughter decided in a scheme with her sister the Lawyer to get me a pair of Jeans. Straight legged normal fit.

I kept a straight face when I opened this present and then listened to the explanations. Apparently it was a conspiracy between my kids to see if they could get me to start wearing jeans.

Well, I am wearing them now. Trying them on and seeing if I actually like them.. They're not bad. 100 percent denim and fairly loose fitting. I just don;t see myself wearing these unless I am working on a home project of some kind and don't want to damage a pair of my regular pants.

I sent a picture of me wearing these to my daughters with the title of: "History in Making. First time in over 60 years I have been seen with a pair of Blue Jeans on.."

That photo could be worth some money later.. lol!!!!

I am not enamored with them and they are no more comfortable than my normal every day slacks.. I guess I fail to see why all the fuss about a crummy pair of blue jeans.. I don't care about being a fashion plate or being "IN" or "out".

BUT, to keep peace in the family and let the girls think they have persuaded me to wear these I'll put up with them and wear them maybe once a month.. if that....

Re: “It has been a Blessed and wonderful day in our household today. I hope that everyone else has had a wonderful day as well.”
Let's call this "The Christmas that wasn't." We didn't put out the Christmas decorations. We DID unpack our Charlie Brown 18-inch tree, but we left the 5' artificial tree in its box and didn't buy a real one. I put one present under our tiny tree and that was the only present it received.

I did get a nice jacket from my mother-in-law, and a few other gifts from friends and family. My wife gave me a beautiful red "amberina" dish containing cadmium and gold. Like uranium glass, amberina fluoresces under a black light - but it glows RED. I gave her a new set of headphones since she needed them.

So, it was a very, very simple day. I did some reading about cancer and took a nap.

We skipped making a Christmas dinner this year. In fact, it's a little after 9 p.m. and I'm a bit hungry so I may nuke a potato and dig some leftovers out of the 'fridge.

BUT, my wife tested negative for Covid-19 today! If I go another two days without getting sick, it means that I dodged that bullet, or the ivermectin I've been taking turned Covid-19 into such a wimp that I didn't even notice that I had it.

It was sunny and 41° here today. There's no snow, but there are many tire ruts out back where water has pooled. They're full of ice. I read that there was a blizzard in Nebraska yesterday but that the nation is otherwise snow-free. Wild.

Our plan now is to make ourselves a really nice meal in a week. Assuming that the house is still Covid-free, and we're feeling more festive, that is. That'll be New Years Day.

In future years, I'm sure we'll have more of the Christmas spirit than we did this year. But with no visitors, Covid-19, lots of construction hassles still going on, and my recent medical issues, we just never felt it.
