Each state's Army National Guard is a part of the National Guard, as a whole, and is a subordinate unit (a reserve force of the United State Army) that is directly responsible to the governor of the state.

Just my opinion, but I think directly fomenting a conflict of command over the Texas National Guard would be a very bad, dangerous decision on Biden's part. It just might not turn out completely the way he thinks because it would not surprise me to find out that most Texans in the National Guard would rather be commanded by Abbott rather than Biden - especially when it involves supporting Biden's obvious dereliction of duty in maintaining our nation's borders.

Yikes. Dorblelerg! That's definitely an escalation. I wonder if Biden is preparing for war with Texas when he doesn't yet have his illegal-invader military?

I *did* read that Biden may federalize the Texas National Guard. If he does, I imagine that they would comply ... although, doesn't the governor of a state have some say in it? Who do they ultimately work for?
