Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!

The last post was really intended to be an introduction for what follows. The prelude grew longer than expected so I made it a post in its own right.

My wife is currently picking up a second auction's wins. It worked out, since Manchester (the location of her first pickup) and this other town are only about 15 miles apart.

The second auction was pretty big and we won five lots, each a portion of the seller's massive stamp collection. The total cost, including the auction house's cut, was $113.85. I have no idea what this stuff is worth, but they add to similar sets we won at auction last year. So, now, not only do I have a lot of uncancelled sheets and plate blocks from my friend, I also have a whole lot of these PRE-ASSEMBLED binders, with a few more uncancelled stamps included on each page.

As I said before, how is this a hobby? What's there to do? Am I really going to spend days flipping the pages and reading what was written on them by their publisher? LOL. That's no hobby. It's more like a bad habit I've got to quit...
