Re: “So, who do we think would be Trump's VP ?”
That is a harder question. You'll notice that I shied away from it in the list of 2024 predictions I posted earlier this year.

We know that Donald Trump is inherently unpredictable. Who'd have ever thought that he'd run with an obscure governor from Indiana in 2016? No one that I knew. This time, though, I assume he'll be more careful. If he wants someone he KNOWS will back him up come what may, he could go with Ben Carson or Sarah Huckabee Sanders. If Trump wants someone who will help him win, then he should look for someone from a state where he's not already a shoo-in or who, at least, would help draw votes he'd otherwise never get. Tulsi Gabbard would be interesting in that regard. Obviously, she's female. She's articulate. And she's experienced with Congress. Republicans generally like her. So do some Democrats. Kari Lake would help Trump secure votes from women and from Arizona. No potential running mate is more MAGA than she is, and she's dynamic.

If Trump wants a running mate who would put the Southern Border front and center, then Greg Abbott would be a great choice. Every time Abbott spoke, his audience would immediately think about the huge border problem. There's nobody more experienced in handling it.

My guess though is that Trump will play it safe as he did in 2016. He'll probably pick someone obscure. If he doesn't want to repeat his previous mistake, my money would be on Kristi Noem. Female, smokin' hot, articulate and likeable.

If it were me, though, I'd go with Tulsi.

Re: “Do y'all think DeSantis would make a good President say in 2028 ?”
Your question is a little unclear. When you ask if he'd be a good President, I think that his ideas are excellent. But a good President has to be able to get Congress to pass his agenda, and I'm not at all sure DeSantis could do that. While some may describe DeSantis as a steamroller who gets his way, I don't think he's ever had to do that. The Florida legislature has been friendly and so has his constituency. Dealing with Congress and an increasingly fragmented U.S. population would be quite different.

Is DeSantis a charismatic leader who is going to sweet talk an uncooperative Congress into doing his bidding? I don't think so. He's not Reagan or Clinton, and he wouldn't be coming into office as a beloved Statesman backed by an adoring public, à la Ike.

The answer to this interpretation of your question is, therefore, "Maybe - depending on the makeup of Congress. But probably not."
Re: “... say in 2028 ?”Now your question becomes less "Would he be a good President" and more "Should he be the GOP nominee in 2028?"

Here I have to give him a resounding "NO!". DeSantis is a LOUSY campaigner, one of the worst I've seen for a politician who lacks scandal. He came into the campaign season with tons of momentum, and wow, did he ever lose it fast. His organization didn't know what it was doing and, seemingly, neither did he.

IMO, nominating DeSantis is a recipe for "loss." The only way he'd win the general election is if he faced someone even worse - which strikes me as unlikely.
