Re: “I am dying anyway so I am not going thru another surgery.”
That would be a mistake. Far better to die with cancer than OF cancer. For one, 3 cm is toward the smaller end of colon tumors. If it's contained, the odds of actually being cured of it are pretty good - better than half, and most people live more than five years even if they aren't cured - but that's assuming they have treatment.

Colon cancer isn't like Nemo's speedy esophageal cancer. Colon tumors grow slowly.

But you can't assume that it's cancer. It could be benign, and it could be a cyst, not a tumor. In all cases, though, you'll need to have it removed. You don't want to die by being blocked up and exploding one night!! Moon

micro, I figure that if you won't play the game for your own sake, then you have to think about your family. What would THEY want you to do?

BTW, I'm going in for a colonoscopy in March. It'll be my first, though for me it's purely routine. The procedure shouldn't be a concern. I'll go in, get an I.V., wake up and leave, probably not remembering any of it. I hear that the worst part is the stuff I have to drink and expel BEFORE the colonoscopy. Oh well. That's only for a day. Ribit is older than you. He can vouch for this. Why, I bet he's had dozens of them. He probably looks forward to them as something to talk about at the store, while standing in line with the ladies of Toadsuck.
Re: “I also want to go to Mount Rushmore and Lake Superior. So that is my bucket list...”I've seen both, and neither touches Yosemite for sheer beauty. I think you're making a mistake if you leave it off your list. It's far and away the most amazing place in the United States, imvho. Yellowstone may have bragging rights for being the first National Park, but only because Lincoln had protected Yosemite twelve years earlier, putting it in California's custody for public enjoyment.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

GM De!

Thanks for the concern. I'm doing okay. Just getting tired of tests for all kinds of reasons. Now they want to do a colonoscopy because they saw something on a cat scan that was about 3 CM in size in my colon.

I can hardly wait to have a scope inserted up my rectum and be naked on a table.. If it turns out to be cancer what do they think I am going to do? I am dying anyway so I am not going thru another surgery.. Its great getting older....

I can only imagine how Ribs feels..

Because of the tiredness I feel like I need to slow down with traveling to see clients. The long overnight trips where I don't sleep well in hotel beds does not hold any appeal anymore.
Plus I still need to go pay for our funeral plots at the administration building in the township.

Unfortunately, I am the head of two families. My own and my wife's. I am the oldest male and the person who winds up being asked questions, as well as miz micro, by all the nieces and nephews, as well as my own family members.
My older brother just had his knee replaced two days ago and because he never does what he is instructed to do, like lose some dunnage over six months of waiting, he is struggling to walk on it but hopefully maybe the in home therapist will get his motor going..

The cardiologist confirmed what I had read from Johns Hopkins and Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic about expected average years of life with my condition..

It's between 5 - 10 depending on the severity of the heart wall before surgery. So because one side of my heart is totally gray damage was done to it and the ejection fraction proved it..

I have been blessed to live a fairly long life and have a beautiful bride who has not changed much at all in all our 50 years together. She is still as pretty as ever.

I now can look forward to going home to heaven and seeing The Lord and Thanking HIM for His wonderful GIFT and sacrifice on the cross for atonement of MY sins. A debt that can never be repaid because only GOD could have done this and the only acceptable sacrificial offering that would satisfy the wrath and righteousness of GOD for our sin was the HOLY BLOOD of God the SON.
I have asked HIM to forgive me and to be my Lord and Savior a long time ago and He has always protected me my whole life. So I have no fear of death. It is merely the portal by which we gain eternal life, a brand new body that looks just like us but never degrades, and to see The Lord face to face and Thank HIM for eternity. Also we wil see our loved ones who trusted HIM that have gone before us and they will be waiting for us at the Eastern Gate of The City of God when we arrive and we shall know them and they us! It will be a grand re-union that will last forever.

I am reminded of an old HYMN that is very true regarding my life and what remains of it.

"This world is not my home, I'm just a passin' thru. My treasure laid up for me, somewhere beyond the blue. The angels beckon me from heaven's golden shore and I don;t feel at home in this world anymore".

This is kinda where I am at. I still want to come and see your new home and property. From the pics you shared it is drop dead gorgeous..

I also want to go to Mount Rushmore and Lake Superior.

So that is my bucket list... Not much but I have always wanted to see them as well as the LOCKS at northern Michigan..
