Florida deputy hears acorn hit his police car, thinks he has been shot at and then opens fire on his own patrol car with a cuffed man in the back of the car.
Unreal.
Okaloosa County deputy Jesse Hernandez convinced himself that he was not only shot at, but that he was also hit with a bullet after an acorn fell on his patrol car.
Hernandez then frantically turned around and unloaded his entire clip at his own patrol car.
"I'm hit!" he screamed.
The freakout then prompted his partner to start shooting at the car as well.
22-year-old Marquis Jackson was cuffed and sitting in the backseat of the patrol car as this all went down.
Thankfully, he was somehow unharmed.
Hernandez has since resigned but was not criminally charged.
The partner got a pass due to the fact that she fired based on his actions
