True ... EVERYONE believes, more often than not, that their way is the better way and that others would benefit by acknowledging and acquiescing to that, BUT ... that wasn't my point. As the old saying goes - "Opinions are like assholes, everybody's got one and everyone thinks everyone else's stinks." I will readily admit that I am not shy about offering up my opinion, but I am not one to try to force my opinion down everyone's throat by codifying it - THAT is something that Democrats attempt to do, day in and day out, on a regular basis - from gas stoves to electric vehicles to the exercise of our constitutional rights under the 2nd Amendment to on and on and on and on and ...

I believe in "live and let live." I may rail against the stupidity I see in this world, but I do not attempt to impose my will on others who may disagree with me. If we do not see eye to eye ... fine ... so be it ... they can go their way and I will go mine.

So, in summary ... while my statement was admittedly broad ... I still believe it to be fairly accurate and not too terribly overgeneralized based on the prevailing attitudes and actions of the Democrats over the past several decades. If you don't approve of my statement ... oh well ... we can agree to disagree.

Neither Democrats nor Republicans have a lock on brains or stupidity, and I see a surprising number of internet folks proving it every day. In fact, I was just reading an article on Rob Reiner today. At the end, a surprising number of the readers - most of whom, I suspect, were conservative Christians - showed via their comments their intolerance for others. Rob Reiner, you see, has committed the crimes of being born Jewish and currently being atheist. It was hard to tell from the readers which of those sins they deemed worse.

"Delusionally fantasizing that they have the divine right to tell everyone else how to live" is a flaw I see in MOST outspoken groups.

And in Rob Reiner, too - but that's off topic.

That's why I like this board. Most of us prefer a "live and let live" approach to others' views. It's only when others start telling us how to live that we respond in kind. "The high road" can be a lonely place at times.
