But in the universe we can see, there aren't many first generation stars forming. Second and third generation stars are abundant, and we can see some forming - but they have finite lives. New ones are not keeping pace with those that gradually die, which speaks to a KNOWN universe that will eventually go cold.

But that's not to say that there will never be another Big Bang. In fact, there could be other Big Bangs going on right now, in places beyond what we can see. Inflation, which seemed to spontaneously begin and end following the Big Bang that spawned the galaxies of which we're aware, might be happening too. We just don't know about it.

About the only thing I'm sure of is that no one knows what's going to happen. No one.

I've never fantasized about 'playing God.' 'Playing Superhero,' though, is another matter.

A God who can plant millions of years old fossils for man to find and contemplate over ought to be able to plant light waves billions of years old . . . .

Having said that, I'm going to clarify that I do not believe the '6,000 year old earth theory'. I believe the 'Universe' is eternal - no beginning and no end to it.

But, there might be a God out there. There might even be many Gods out there. And there might be aliens out there who enjoy playing God.

Who amongst us have not fantasized about playing God?
