When Russia started this little mis-adventure one would have thought that they had more than enough tanks and troops to just roll over Ukraine. Didn't happen. Ukraine whacked Russian tanks, blew up their fuel trucks, and the invasion stalled.
So Russia captured a Ukrainian city - which by now more resembles a rubble pile than anything useful. And where do they go from here? Right into the next Russian soldier eating meat grinder. Russia no longer has a tank force with which to prosecute a WWII style 'armored breakout' to rapidly seize territory and eviscerate Ukrainian military formations.
I might be wrong, but I don't think so. Russia has been two years trying to conquer Ukraine . . . and still haven't done it.
