I keep hearing from the pro-war folks that:

If we don’t stop Russia in the Ukraine………
Russia will invade a NATO country………

The pro war folks say that this is why we need to give them all our money

I don’t believe Russia will invade any NATO country.
And now it seems you don’t either?

History shows that if we continue..will end up sending troops into Ukraine.
We will spend a trillion dollars.
25 - 50 thousand of our troops will be killed or maimed
Then we’ll pull out of the country leaving it to the “enemy”.
That’s our history.

Russia has been using WWI style infantry attacks against Ukraine. Losing a LOT of guys and not getting a lot of real estate. From that standpoint Russia is a credible threat to Ukraine.

When Russia first invaded Russia had a LOT of tanks, troops, etc. etc. etc. Had Russia used what we Americans like to call 'Combined Arms' campaigning Russia might have been able to roll right over the Ukrainians. But Russia does not have an effective 'NCO' corps like we have. Apparently they did not have an 'infantry screen' helping to keep the Ukrainians from getting close enough to kill the Russian tanks.

Donald Trump gave Javelin anti-tank weapons to the Ukrainians. Between 2014 and 2022 Americans and other NATO nations helped train and prepare Ukraine for the invasion that came.

While Poland has been somewhat difficult as far as helping Ukraine, more than a few European countries - particularly the Eastern European ones - have been helping Ukraine. And rumor has it that Poland has the largest military force in Europe.

Russia invade NATO? (My opinion) highly unlikely. They need to rebuild their tank divisions and retrain their army.

NATO invade Russia? Stupid idea. Russia losing, throws nukes, everybody has a bad day.

So whaddya do?
