More important than cutting losses, though, is to choose your battles - which I do. It was never very likely that we could help Ukraine beat Russia and we shouldn't have tried. *WE* could do it... sure... but with boots on the ground. Instead, we wanted little Ukraine with a population smaller than California's to do it. But the most important one might be MEN. All of its young men are gone and there's no way to get more of them. The average Ukrainian soldier is 43. Russia is doing just fine in this category, but Ukraine is not. And the mismatch grows worse by the day.

You know, I find it perplexing that Russia scares the bejesus out of you. Yet you think that little Ukraine with its old man fighting force and 37 million population should be able to do it. Given that, militarily, it is in far worse shape than it was two years ago, explain why you think there's any way it can win! Maybe by recruiting its old women?

...decomp, when ya was building your houses and barns ya didn't quit when something went over budget. Ya didn't quit when ya had problems with weather. Ya didn't quit when workmen mysteriously didn't show up. I know you aren't a "Quitter". Can't figure out why you think it is "Impossible" for Ukraine to WIN.

...I define a Ukrainian win as Russia going home with it's tail tucked between it's legs and it's global dominance a wet dream.
