See, last month you said "My disdain for Russia is that they have been trying to kill me since I was a mere princling instead of a king" - and I just assumed that your obsession with it was tied to fear. (Totally understandable fear, I might add, given what you went through in the '60s.) But THAT Russia no longer exists.

I do not believe that the Russia that exists today has any interest in capturing territory that wasn't once part of the Soviet Union. There are quite a few countries that fall into that category and that Putin may one day decide to re-take. Their paranoia toward Russia and Putin is quite legitimate. I've read several times that Putin feels it is his patriotic duty to reunite "his" country. But I regard that potential as, almost, an internal matter, not our business. The countries at risk OUGHT to be working hard to defend themselves. We, on the other hand, have plenty of problems of our own, some of which are even bigger problems than 'which of our non-friends Russia may decide to go to war with.'

...the Russian Military is poorly trained and motivated. As long as Ukraine has the ammo Russia will be stymied.
