Re: “...if ya looking for an investment opportunity I suggest Family Oriented Theme Parks with 600 or so gang bangers in attendance.”
When we were new to Virginia, Six Flags was running specials on annual passes. I think they were under $100. We bought three. The passes were good at any of the parks. We had one about an hour away, servicing Baltimore & D.C. Another was within sight of the freeway on our frequent drives to New Hampshire, but somehow we never had the time or energy to stop.

We used the passes twice at the local park. The park was awful... dirty and overcrowded with thousands of loose, foul-mouthed kids. We actually saw attractions with DUCT TAPE on some of the seams and repairs. If the rides alone won't get your heart racing, the tape sure will! We left early both times, which is something I never do at theme parks.

Then, on one of our drives when we weren't feeling rushed, we stopped at Six Flags New England - in western Massachusetts and servicing Springfield & Hartford. The difference was night and day. The New England park had none of the issues that ruined the Maryland experience. It was like Disneyland. I'd have been a regular visitor to it if I'd lived in the area.

I'd be remiss if I didn't tell you that the New England park was at least 80% white, whereas the Baltimore / D.C. park was at least 90% minority. But I'm sure that had NOTHING to do with it. Total coincidence. A mere distraction.
