Re: “People I Know who are legitimate wealthy people do not talk about their finances. In fact, you would never know they are wealthy. I think that is how it is with most normal people.”
I've seen just one exception.

A few years ago, I started participating in regular e-mail discussions with a group of my buddy's friends. I was an outsider to them, but I can tell you that they were all multi-millionaires. It wasn't something I ever asked them, but it was obvious from their investment discussions, their ages, their professions (actually, nearly all were retired... and the one who wasn't was continuing to manage his rentals) and where they lived.

But there was this one guy, Mike, who would routinely tell us... unprompted... how wealthy he was. To me, he'd say things like, "I imagine that I have more money than you will ever have" - even though he knew nothing about my financial situation. He was also the group's most outspoken liberal.

At some point, my buddy told me that Mike was probably telling the truth. He had married into what my buddy called "Old Money."

So there we had it: Mike was a liberal who had married some rich woman and, thereafter, referenced his money frequently in order to try to dominate others. It didn't work... not with me, anyway. I actually told him off after a few weeks, mostly because he turned every financial or economic observation into "But Donald Trump was worse!" rendering deeper discussions almost impossible. He dropped out after I told him that I didn't care to read his posts anymore. He never had anything to contribute. He just enjoyed messing with conservatives if they wanted to discuss events. (On other forums, he'd be quickly branded "a troll." He had that in common with zzfart.)

My buddy tells me that Mike is a nice guy, but VERY unhappy. Apparently money really can't buy happiness. Or maybe it's just that UNEARNED money can't.

This is the LAST person on this planet anyone should ever seek any financial, or other, advice from...

I can only wonder what kind of a parent he is..

How many people do you know that go online and openly tell the entire planet what your net worth is and then in the same paragraph beg people to follow you on social media?

How do we know this person is worth what he claims?

People I Know who are legitimate wealthy people do not talk about their finances. In fact, you would never know they are wealthy. I think that is how it is with most normal
people.

Ole Blake (if that is his real name) is an attention seeking whore.

What a moron..
