Hmmmm ,,, Really ? Let's review the First Amendment.

Overview
The First Amendment of the United States Constitution protects the right to freedom of religion and freedom of expression from government interference. It prohibits any laws that establish a national religion, impede the free exercise of religion, abridge the freedom of speech, infringe upon the freedom of the press, interfere with the right to peaceably assemble, or prohibit citizens from petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances. It was adopted into the Bill of Rights in 1791. The Supreme Court interprets the extent of the protection afforded to these rights. The First Amendment has been interpreted by the Court as applying to the entire federal government even though it is only expressly applicable to Congress. Furthermore, the Court has interpreted the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment as protecting the rights in the First Amendment from interference by state governments.

Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
Basically: The Gold Star Dad was arrested for 'petitioning the government for a redress of grievance. The Cornell article would argue that this was a 'breach of the peace', I say BS - the First does NOT say 'except when it makes others angry or disturbs their pansy asses.'
I assert that the CAPITOL POLICE and CONGRESS have committed felony offenses in this arrest (violation of Constitutional Rights under colour of law), and also in the J6 arrests. The laws of Congress that 'disturbing their business' is a felony offense are grossly UNConstitutional, and should be stricken. Presentation of grievances is ALMOST ALWAYS irritating to those being addressed - and can almost always be (falsely) presented as being a 'disturbance' or euphemistically as 'interfering with official business'. Tough boogersnot.
Where's the SMILE ?
Well, it comes from replaying another post on this board where a guy in Great Britain explained Freedom of Speech to the police in a country that does NOT have anywheres close to the USA Rights: Great Britain, which has some pretty nasty speech restrictions.
Reviewing this prior link, and hearing this Brit's VERY eloquent and forceful standing up for HIS rights was and is refreshing. Plus the music is wonderful. Listen to his entire diatribe ... and try not breaking out a big smile.
