Apparently one of the stories, which was included in the GOP response to Biden's State of the Union address, turned out to be a bit misleading in that it was presented as if Joe Biden and his border policies were responsible for what was recounted by Alabama Senator Katie Britt. However, after verifying the details with the Senator's office, it was determined that the incident recounted actually took place twenty years ago, while George W Bush was president, well before Biden was ever in a position where he could've been held responsible for the nation's border policies:
