Re: “One ought to wonder, how long until Russia finds itself without the fuel to move troops, food, and ammo into Ukraine? And what happens to the Russian soldiers inside Ukraine when they can no longer get food or ammo or reinforcements?”
Well, here's the map as of about two weeks ago. Does it REALLY look to you as if Ukraine is going to stop Russia from getting supplies and weapons to its troops??? It doesn't look that way to me.

You mentioned that "An American intelligence estimate says that Russia has lost 315,000 guys." I've read that Ukraine has lost 200,000 to 300,000 guys. That would be great news for Ukraine, except that Russia has a population of 144 million while the population in Kyiv-controlled areas may have decreased to as low as 28 million. On the brighter side, Ukraine looks like it is on the verge of conscripting women ages 18 to 60. Fresh troops for the front lines! The good news for Ukraine never seems to end.

Decomposed > Well that is good news! Which Ukrainian city would you guess that Ukraine is going to re-take?

I suspect that Ukraine is not going to be trying to retake any cities any time soon. Last news I read said the Ukrainians were building a LOT of 'border fortifications'. As in defensive positions to continue hammering Russian attack forces.

Looking at things from a more strategic viewpoint. Ukraine has decimated the Russian Black Sea Fleet - Russia can no longer interdict Ukrainian grain shipments to the rest of the world.

Ukraine has also started blowing up and burning down Russian oil refineries and fuel storage tanks. One ought to wonder, how long until Russia finds itself without the fuel to move troops, food, and ammo into Ukraine? And what happens to the Russian soldiers inside Ukraine when they can no longer get food or ammo or reinforcements?

Russia lost more than 7,200 troops, 278 artillery systems and over 200 armored personnel vehicles (APVs) in the past week, according to Ukraine's military, as Moscow's forces inch westward on the northeast front lines in the war-torn country.

Moscow has lost a total of 424,060 troops in the war, and in the past 24 hours suffered 900 casualties Ukraine's military said on Sunday.

An American intelligence estimate says that Russia has lost 315,000 guys. I have to wonder how many of those guys were Russian factory workers . . . and how their loss has degraded Russia's manufacturing ability?
